Events of Distinction is a luxury event planning and production company that provides our clients with a broad scope of event planning, design and event management services. 

Events of Distinction brings people together to celebrate life events and milestones while creating the experience of a lifetime for clients and their guests.

Meet Regina

Regina Gordon

Owner, CWEP

I am Regina Gordon, Principal and Lead Planner of Events of Distinction. I am a Certified Wedding and Event Planner who started planning parties like a lot of people, planning my children’s birthday parties.  Friends and family would ask me to help them plan their parties.  This led to people asking me to help plan their weddings.  Although I majored in Psychology at Loyola University, I found that I had a passion for wedding and event planning and wanted to make it an actual business.  However, life happened and my dream of having a wedding planning business was placed on the back burner. 

Understanding that life is short and fragile has resurrected what I believe is not only a passion but my purpose, which is to help others celebrate life events with an elegant flair. 

As the principal and lead planner/designer, I believe that our lives provide inspiration to those around us.  Love and finding the beauty in the things that surround us inspires me.  That inspiration drives me to create and celebrate.  I take the time to find out what inspired you to celebrate and I create an elegant, unique & memorable event just for you.  We plan out every detail based on your vision for your special day.

Weddings are a time to celebrate love and commitment. We help you plan and design the wedding of your dreams to the one you love. We make sure that all of the details are executed to your specifications, while making sure that custom touches create an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication to make it uniquely your special day!

Total Distinction

Our Total Distinction package is our full-service package designed for our couples who want to enjoy the complete experience of this time in their lives without the stress that this celebration can bring.  We cater to your needs by providing a wide range of services that allow you to turn over the reins and allow us to plan and coordinate the details of the wedding.  With this package you say “yes,” to the major decisions and we handle all of the details.  We bring your wedding day vision to life by giving you the wedding of your dreams when you show up to say, “I Do!”

Refined Elegance

Our Refined Elegance package is our partial wedding planning service designed for couples who started the planning process and perhaps got “stuck,” and need some help to get to the wedding day of their dreams.  We help you through the rest of the planning process.  You share your desires and we work with you to bring them into reality.  You actively participate while we guide you through the planning stages.  With all the major decisions made you can relax as we handle all of the fine details.  We become partners in making your wedding day unique and all that you dreamed it would be!

Finishing Touches

Our Finishing Touches package is our wedding management option for those couples who have pretty much taken care of all of the major decisions related to their wedding day, but you just need someone to bring it all together and make sure that things run smoothly on that day.  With this package we take the plans that you’ve made and make sure that they are executed the way you’ve intended.  We help to make sure that the dream wedding that you’ve planned goes off without a hitch and you realize to the fullest the fruit of your labor.  We make sure that all the details are covered while you enjoy the day that you dreamed of!
